Arizona's Legal Paraprofessional Program Partners with De Novo Law to Promote Affordable Legal Services in Rural Communities
PHOENIX, AZ -- Stephanie Villalobos, a Legal Paraprofessional (LP) with De Novo Law in Phoenix, has teamed up with the Arizona Supreme Court's Legal Paraprofessional Program to boost awareness and attract interest in this burgeoning profession. The program seeks to deliver affordable legal services to Arizona's rural communities, which are in dire need of assistance.
The partnership's outreach campaign kicked off with the Arizona Paralegal Association (APA) 2023 Annual Legal Conference in April. The event successfully educated attendees on the LP Program, the opportunities for paralegals to advance their careers, and fostered connections between professionals across related fields. This networking led to invitations to two more upcoming events.
In June, the APA will collaborate on the first-ever LP Townhall Meeting. This event will highlight Innovations in Justice: Arizona’s Legal Paraprofessional Program and feature Q&A panel discussions with licensed LPs practicing in Arizona. Panel participants include representatives from the Arizona Supreme Court LP Program and three LPs practicing law in Arizona, with De Novo Law representing LPs running their law firms. Registration for this event continues to grow, and organizers are eager to share information and address any questions.
As the third joint effort, the LP Program has been invited to participate as a "Valued Partner" at the Maricopa County Bar Association Paralegal Division’s 2023 Annual Paralegal Conference in October. This esteemed event, hosted by one of MCBA's most active groups, anticipates attracting over 150 attendees, extending its reach to those who could not attend the APA Conference and Townhall.
Stephanie Villalobos looks forward to expanding these outreach initiatives and cultivating strong relationships within Arizona's legal community to aid rural communities requiring affordable legal services ultimately.
